Slough

Cutaneous lesion due to bed rest. The bed rest and immobilization necessary for the safety of the resuscitation patient may have consequences related to the pressure that the skin undergoes at the points of support and friction.

To prevent pressure ulcers, nurses and caregivers regularly massage the patient's support points (back of the skull, back, sacrum, elbows and heels) and ensure that patients receive adequate nutritional intake.

You can participate in the fight against bedsores by providing light massages to your loved ones.
